ABA pension battle with NBA

This is a series of stories examining former ABA players’ fight for justice and a fair pension, which they were promised (but never received), after the merger with NBA.

The project includes interviews with Peter Vecsey, Larry Cannon, Willie Wise and Robert Netolicky, among others, and details info from the lawyer-crafted petition from former ABA players submitted to NBA executives in 2017.

Additional articles are in the works on this topic, including a review of a book (“We Changed The Game”) about the Indiana Pacers and the ABA written by Neto, a former Pacers executive (Richard Tinkham) and a journalist who covered the team (Robin Miller).
